Alignment weakens when communication becomes transactional, learning slows, and when a system stops noticing who is no longer in the room. Over time, decisions still get made, but they lose legitimacy because participation has thinned out, and feedback loops are broken.

Resilient systems stay alive by noticing early signals; the quiet disengagement, unclear roles, and unexplained choices.

The assignment here is not to create a new system, but to modify the existing system in a way that it responds to misalignment by restoring clarity, reopening dialogue, and adjusting to good practice; alignment.
